Lotus Birth & BodyWorks strives to provide doula services that are compassionate, holistic, and tailored to our clients to meet them where they are in life and their needs at the time. For this purpose, all of our services are offered on a sliding scale fee, based on need.
Your doula will be working in your home to provide support to the birthing person and their family after the addition of a new infant to the home, to try and make this transition time a little easier for everyone. We will provide reassurance and perspective to you, your partner, and your family. We will make suggestions for newborn care and postpartum care for the birthing person. Provide basic and non-medical suggestions for new parents. We can provide care for infant(s), solely based to help parent(s) get rest and postpartum recovery. We can help with household chores if they fall within my scope of practice, my and your families comfort level and ability. Keeping in mind that, the purpose of completing these chores is to help the birthing persons and/or the families postpartum needs. We will work to help provide the birthing person, their partner, and their family to build independence and confidence and to assist those around you with understanding the birthing persons recovery needs.
As your birth doula, we will provide emotional, physical, and spiritual support during your labor and delivery. We are there to help support the birthing person during this beautiful and sometimes difficult and vulnerable time, by providing comfort measures, support to there partner or birthing person so that they can support you, advocacy, and basic breastfeeding support after delivery (if wanted). We will met (at least one) before your birth, hopefully more! We will be on call for you 24/7, 2-weeks pre and post your guess date, provide continuous support during your labor and delivery, and have two postpartum visits with you and your family.
We will be present for you during a surgical or medication abortion. We will provide education, emotional, physical, and spiritual support during this process. We can meet beforehand or just at the time of your appointment(based off of your preference). We will then support you during the process. This service is really about showing up and holding space for the individual at that time. This is something that we at Lotus BirthWorks believe should not and never will cost a fee; at least with us. Please reach out if you or you know of someone who needs support during this time.
We will be present to be the support person to your older child(ren) during the time of your labor and delivery so that they are able to be present and as involved with the birthing process as both your’s and their comfort level allows. We think that it is important for the child(ren) to have their own support person so that they feel comfortable and that you as the parent(s) can focus in on getting rest while you can and then the delivery of your newborn. Once contracted for your family will meet with you before hand to get to know you and your child(ren). We will be able to help with distraction and comfort techniques for you child(ren) during the labor and delivery process, and once your newborn has come, help with initial introductions and integration.
We will be on call for you and will show up to take pictures, once notified by you, during your labor and delivery, and immediately postpartum for up to two hours. Please contact us if you would like to take a look at our portfolio. For my clients confidentiality I do not post all my images online.
We will be on call for your guess date 2 weeks pre and post. We prepare placentas following the TCM method, but can do raw upon request. Once contracting with us an email or quick phone call depending on your preferences will take place to discuss details of the contract, pickup of placenta, and drop off of your capsules and/or tinctures. After delivery we will pickup your placenta ASAP to begin processing. Your capsules and/or tinctures will be delivered back to you within 24-72hrs from the time of pickup. Research into Placentophagy is still quite new and evolving but reported benefits from families and health practitioners have been: • Increase general energy and helps to restore your natural hormonal balance • Allows for a quicker return to health after birth • Increase production of breast milk • Decrease likelihood of baby blues and postnatal depression • Decrease likelihood of iron deficiency • Decrease likelihood of insomnia or sleep disorders **The average placenta yields 90-125 capsules.

Ask the doula session( This is a private Q+A style session to meet with me and ask any questions that you may have. This is a great way to have a general consultation with me for expertise for expecting families or individuals interested in learning more about birth and body work. No follow up will be sent after this session.)- $75 per hour
Postpartum doula support- $50-55 Per hour
Postpartum bodywork : in home hammam, hand/foot soak + postpartum massage, peri steam, closing ceremonies, abdominal cupping, and newborn/infant massage skill share session
Placenta burial guidance, in home placenta tincture preparation, and Closing Ceremonies
